Shabda Kahn

Shabda has been a disciple of Sufism since 1969. He is a direct disciple of Murshid Samuel Lewis and in his youth spent years with Pir Vilayat Khan. Shabda currently serves as the Pir (Spiritual Director) of the Sufi Ruhaniat International and Director of the Chisti Sabri School of Music. Shabda is an Indian Classical Vocalist, Raga singer and teacher, and has performed for His Holiness the Dalai Lama. Shabda is also a disciple of the illustrious Tibetan Master, the 12th TaiSitu Rinpoche. He is currently the Spiritual Director of the Dances of Universal Peace worldwide.

Munir Peter Reynolds

Munir is a Sufi, a guitarist, senior Dance mentor, and a Sheikh in the Sufi Ruhaniat International order. He holds an M.A. in Culture and Spirituality from Holy Names College and worked for years as a professional body worker and healer. Since 1995, Munir has led the Dances of Universal Peace at Sufi camps and retreats throughout the world and serves on the Guidance Council for the Dances. He is former Executive Director of Dances of Universal Peace International. His life is devoted to awakening consciousness, serving a more just and integrated world.

Michael Eller

Michael uses the Native American tradition to knit together his body of wisdom. Under the tutelage of his Navajo teacher, Michael turned inward to uncover a ceaseless exploration into himself. His shamanic training also includes in-depth studies under Swami Muktananda, a world renowned teacher in the Indian Hindu tradition.

Sobonfu Some

Before Sobonfu was born, she spoke from her mother’s belly telling the Village Elders her purpose. That purpose is to bring ritual and the teachings of community to the West. As a young woman not yet speaking English, she arrived in the United States. From the moment her feet hit our soil, the teachings were infused in this part of the Earth.

David Patten

A Celtic linguist raised in the ancient Druidic tradition of the Oghama, David offers his unique connection to the world of senses and the power of the spoken word. A graduate of the University of Montana, he later taught philosophy at the University of Kentucky. David’s entire life has been a study of the rhythms and cycles of nature, of the heavens, of a human life…of the intertwining of existence within the relational field between all things.

Deborah Jones

Deborah has studied with Dr. Gay Luce for sixteen years and now serves as the spiritual leader of the Mystery Schools and other Nine Gates programs. Deborah has worked intensely with wisdom keepers from around the world, practicing the healing arts, shamanism, the integrative application of the Hindu and Buddhist tantric paths, tribal trance dance, the transpersonal psychology of spiritual awakening through the energy and emotional bodies, and other ancient arts of the mystery schools.

Dr. Gay Luce

Gay is a transpersonal psychologist, author of five books translated into seven languages, and three-time recipient of the American Psychological Association award for journalism. Dr. Luce also founded SAGE, a revitalization program that became the prototype for current work on aging.

Karen Lytle

An advocate for mind, body, spirit integration as a restorative path to wholeness and health, Karen passionately works for the lessening of human suffering.
